The City of Los Angeles is one of the few cities in the country looking at the implementation of the principles of CEDAW. The Commission on the Status of Women in Los Angeles has been working to implement the principles of CEDAW at the local level at the direction of the Los Angeles City Council. As part of a strategic work plan, training is being provided to the departments of City government on the appearance of CEDAW in our communities.

For more information on the Los Angeles local implementation work, please contact the Los Angeles City Commission on the Status of Women at (213) 978-0300 or http://www.lacity.org/csw/cswcedaw.htm.
